If anyone is interested in doing a kitchen/tea towel swap, please leave a comment here or email me to let me know. The swap would be as follows:
- 2 kitchen/tea towels in a retro or vintage style
- 1 recipe card with your favorite "casserole" or "jello mold" recipe on it
- 1 blank recipe card to have your swap partner fill in with a favorite dessert recipe and mail it along to anyone they want to (just to spread a little sweetness!).
All of it would be packaged up in pretty wrapping and sent off to your partner within two weeks of the swap partner assignments. If you are interested, let me know by July 10th. I will need your name, blog url (if you have one), and your mailing address. On July 11th, I will email the list of swap partners and their addresses to those participating. After you get your partner's name, I suggest visiting their blog to get an idea of what type of towel they might like for their kitchen decor. Flowery vintage, abstractly retro, homey and country... you get the idea! I hope you'll all join in! We can always use an extra dish towel, especially a pretty one to hang out and cheer up the dinner preparations!

I have a question. If we do not have a blog how will they know what we like? Should we just kinda tell you when we give you our address and such?

That would work! If you want to take part in the swap but don't have a blog (not a requirement, anyway!) simply let me know in your email if you prefer retro, vintage, traditional, contemporary, eclectic etc...decor in your kitchen. I'll make a note of it next to your name and address info for your partner. You can even include a color scheme preference if you like, but I'm hoping that a surprise selection will be fun for all, too!

That sounds great. I would like to join your swap.
Unfortunately I have no blog to give you an impression of my
favorite styles or craftiness.
Therefore:
I love all things vintage (especially Cowboys, bucking horses and such - I know I am a silly little nitwit) but every other style is also welcome.

Sign me up. I don't have a blog either. I guess my kitchen is contemporary with red accents, but I'm not picky. What a fun idea.

Just found your blog yesterday, but the swap sounds like a marvelous idea. Count me in!

This sounds like fun, I still haven't got round to starting my blog (it's on my to do list!!)
I love anything vintage style in pink with flowers or just anything pretty, as the mum to 4 boys I need something girly.

Your green bean and bacon casserole snudos mouthwatering. I just happened to pick up some french fried onions at a store which stocks things from North America the other day so perfect timing! (I can't get french fried onions here in England except in speciality stores!) I've posted the recipe for my Aunt Dorothy's Butterscotch squares. They are really yummy! Thanks so much for hosting.
